I have been writing about my post pregnancy weight loss experience for a number of weeks. In the first post of this series I share my weight and measurements, last week I shared my week 1 weight loss and today I’m here to share week 2 weight check.
How the week went
In these weight check posts, I want to share with you all, the comings and goings of the week.
- In advance of the grocery shopping, I completed a meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This really worked for me, I’m definitely going to continue with this strategy. I think having a thorough plan for the week, set me on the right path.
- I bought slimming world friendly snacks. I’m following slimming world on this weight loss journey and some items need to be tracked as syns. You are allowed to have 5-15 syns per days. I researched snacks of a certain syn count and purchased these. I have an awful sweet tooth and knew I’d need a sugar boost throughout the week.
- No exercise, I could give you many excuses as to why but the real reason is I’m lazy and decided to pass on exercise this week.
- Sunday: like most days it started well, around 5 pm is where it took a turn. We had our Sunday dinner in Robert’s parents and for some reason, I am always prone to snacking after it. At dinner, I eat enough and feel full but every Sunday without fail I snack a lot in the evening. This particular Sunday I didn’t stop at snacking, I placed an order in the local chip shop and had chipper chips, Southern fried chicken and a sausage.
- Not enough water!
I completely forgot to take a picture of my weigh in so you will have to take my word for it.
Monday 17th April my weight was: 187.8lbs, that is a weight gain of 0.8lbs this week. After doing so well during the week, I ruined everything with an evening of eating the wrong choices.
I will continue with meal planning and weight everything that is considered a syn. We waste so much food here, I buy fruit with great intentions but never get around to eating it, to combat this I plan to sort the fruit into portions and store in plastic tubs. I’m hoping this method will help me. I will also try to increase my water intake and get out at least once for some exercise. It may not seem a great plan but going back to basics will help.
Until next week, I wish you all well with your plans for this week.
